Taxation Officer

Premier Choice International – a leading real estate organization, with multiple mega-projects in Pakistan, UAE and US is looking to hire for a Taxation Officer position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and ensuring filing of monthly sales tax (both federal and provincial) returns within statutory deadlines.
• Preparing monthly sales tax reconciliations on a timely basis and get these reviewed/signed off.
• Efficiently handling various Income Tax and Sales Tax audits conducted by regulatory authorities/internal or external auditors.
• Providing Sales tax and Income Tax advisory to various internal departments and assisting these departments in achieving an effective tax structure.
• Liaising with Federal and provincial Tax authorities regarding various Sales Tax and Income Tax notices, refunds, and litigation.
• Liaising with customers/suppliers in respect of various Sales Tax and Income Tax issues for effective resolutions.
• Effectively handling Income Tax and Sales Tax litigations and filing of appeals in coordination with the legal experts.
• Review and ensuring filing of Corporate Income Tax returns and Withholding Statements within statutory deadlines.
• Ensuring that all GLs related to Sales and Income Tax are fully reconciled and that any necessary adjustments/clearings are made on a timely basis.

Education, Skills & Experience:

• Minimum B.Com/M.Com – preferably CA/ACCA/ACMA (finalist).
• Minimum three (03) years of overall experience with at least two (02) years working in the taxation department of any firm.
• Hands-on experience of working with ERP software shall be highly desirable.
• Excellent presentation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to details is required for this role.
