We are looking for a Magento Frontend Developer to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business and new projects. You will communicate with employees and stakeholders to ensure our company’s technologies are used appropriately. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.
You will need to possess experience in a leadership position as you will be working as both our technology and business expert directly alongside our group CEO. You will be a part of a dynamic and creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing, and launching.
Responsibilities
- 2+ years experience working in Magento 2 frontend development
- Knowledge of frontend language and standards and responsive web design; HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Javascript, jQuery, and Vue.js
- Node.js not essential but beneficial
- Knowledge of CSS libraries and CSS compilers such as Twitter Bootstrap5 and SASS
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite
- Writing semantic HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Helping us in shaping our Frontend solutions and process
- Interpreting and helping to write requirement briefs, specifications, wireframes and designs
- Developing web applications using web frameworks such as React
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of semantic, cross-browser HTML and CSS
- Experience with JavaScript
- Experience with modern frameworks like React and Vue.js
- Experience with CSS pre/post processors
- Experience with task runners and package managers (such as npm, yarn, webpack and Grunt)
- Experience developing high-level designs into responsive markup
- Experience of version control, preferably Git
- A strong understanding of SEO, optimization and accessibility fundamentals
- Strong communication skills
- An appetite for personal learning and development
- A passionate interest in the state and shape of the web industry
- A high level of attention to detail
- Experience of CSS methodologies
- Working knowledge of PHP and MySQL
- Experience with unit testing frameworks
- A working understanding of internet architecture
