We are currently looking for a Payroll Manager to manage and oversee the UK payroll function. This will involve full end to end payroll activities, including processing of bonus payments, income tax filings, managing payroll deductions and ensuring pay is processed correctly and on time.

Job Requirements

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations
  • Manage all statutory payments, unpaid leave, sickness absence and pay, parental leave and pay and any additional leave adjustments;
  • Process special and annual payments as appropriate;
  • Calculate and pay over to HMRC the PAYE deductions;
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages;
  • Manage reconciliation of the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies;
  • Ensure that all employees’ hours are submitted, approved and uploaded into payroll;
  • Maintain and manage payroll files and records;
  • Prepare quarterly and annual wage reconciliations;
  • Apply any changes required for regulatory compliance;
  • Ensure that accurate data is collected for payroll input – new starters, leavers, employment changes, pension changes, bank detail changes, overtime payments etc. ensure employees are paid on time and accurately;
  • Collate, manipulate and input data for the monthly payroll to ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time;
  • Process bulk payments such as bonus payments;
  • Create payroll reports;
  • Handle all employee payroll queries to ensure timely resolutions;
  • Process monthly billings from third party benefits providers and liaise with these providers where necessary;
  • Perform tax year end reporting duties, such as P11D’s and PSA’s;
  • Maintain, develop and ensure up to date with legislative changes around payroll and pension.
